Diet
There is no specific diet that will work for everyone.  Most people we know do well with a low fiber,
low residue, bland and spice free diet.  Each individuals disease is different though and we all have
to figure out what works for us.  We have compiled a list below as a guide.  Always talk with your
doctor to see what your best options are.  Please visit our
Message Boards to find recipes and
nutritional info!  Also, our
Places to Go page features locations that offer IBD friendly menu options.

There are times when your doctor may recommend going on a liquid diet for bowel rest.  There are
two different forms of liquid diets; clear liquids and full liquids.  Soft foods are a good option at times
too.  Please consult with your doctor on which diets are your best option.  The list below is an
example.

We also urge everyone to research any diet that they find claiming to treat IBD.  We invested in a
few diets that claimed to "heal" us and all they did were empty our pockets and make us sick.
Please research before you buy!!!
